What Level 363 Is

Level 363 is a secret Easter egg level in Escape the Backrooms. It is not presented like a normal hub door route. The important trick is entering through a spider encounter without using cheats, modifiers, or external tools.

The route is short, but the timing matters. You are using the moment where the spider tries to grab you as the entry window. If you cross far enough during that grab/death transition, the game can still place you inside Level 363.

No-Cheat Entry Route

Set up near the spider entry path, then run toward the access side as the spider starts its grab. The goal is not to survive the hit. The goal is to move far enough into the entry route before the death state fully resolves.

Entry checklist:
  • Do not use modifiers or cheat movement.
  • Let the spider commit to the grab while you run through the route.
  • Keep moving toward the entry side even if the death transition starts.
  • If the timing works, the next load places you inside Level 363.

Inside Level 363

Once the transition succeeds, you spawn inside the Easter egg area. Do not expect a full combat route or puzzle chain here. Level 363 is mainly a secret destination and a confirmation that the entry trick worked.

There is a door behind you where knocking sounds can sometimes be heard, but that door is not the exit route. Treat it as part of the Easter egg atmosphere rather than a usable progression door.

How to Leave

If you entered from the correct side, you can return by using the opposite side route instead of forcing the locked knocking door. The level is small, so the main thing to remember is which side is decorative and which side actually lets you back out.

For repeat attempts, focus on the spider timing. If you die too early, you will fail the entry. If you move far enough before the transition completes, Level 363 loads without needing any cheat setup.

Things we check before pushing ahead

We use this as the quick “don’t make the same mistake twice” checklist. If your room, spawn, or prompt does not match the video, stop and check the normal route first—patches and co-op timing can make an old shortcut look tempting when it simply will not work.

Check 01
Level 363 entrance overview

Make sure this is actually the step you are on. If an item or prompt is missing, backtrack one room and check the inventory first.

Check 02
Original developer-cheat requirement

Look around slowly before guessing. Props can hide chairs, switches, notes, and pickups; a second camera angle is usually faster than brute force.

Check 03
Trigger the spider grab

Call out what was pressed, collected, or opened. It prevents the classic “we all thought somebody did it” reset.

Check 04
Trigger the death-respawn route

If a skip behaves inconsistently, leave it and take the intended route. A clean run beats getting stuck in geometry.

Multiplayer tips

For the Level 363 secret route, let one player lead the discovery steps and keep the others close enough to confirm the prompt. If it does not trigger, reset the route conditions instead of forcing an old skip.
